Description

This 40" leak gauge is a mechanical leak detection gauge for the annular (interstitial) space of a double-wall above-ground storage tank. It mounts in a 2-inch NPT opening into the interstice and carries a float on a rod assembly. Under normal conditions nothing shows; if product from the primary tank - or water from outside - enters the interstitial space, the float rises and drives a red indicator up into the viewing window, signalling a leak in the double-wall containment system. Each gauge is built to the depth of the tank it serves. Newberry supplies these as Krueger Sentry Type K leak detection gauges. Size is based on tank height or diameter, not tank capacity.
