Shipping Policy

Order Processing

If your item(s) are available for shipment, your order will typically ship within 5 business days of ordering.

If your item(s) require lead time, this will be specified on the product page and/or communicated by your account representative.

After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email confirming that we have received your order and pre-authorized your payment method. We then verify inventory availability with our suppliers.

If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the authorization and notify you via email.


Order Shipment

If your order is in stock and payment is processed, it will ship within 5 business days from the date of your order.

If your item(s) require lead time, this will be specified on the product page and/or communicated by your account representative.

  • Tracking information will be provided within 24 hours of shipment
  • Transit times vary depending on location and carrier

Freight & Delivery (Important)

Many of our products ship via LTL freight carriers due to size and weight.

  • Deliveries are typically curbside only unless otherwise specified
  • The carrier will usually contact you to schedule a delivery appointment
  • Customers must ensure the delivery location is accessible for a freight truck

Additional fees may apply for special delivery requirements.


Inspection Upon Delivery

All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery.

  • Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt (BOL) before signing
  • Failure to note damage at delivery may result in denial of a freight claim

Freight Damage & Claims

Once an order has shipped, it becomes the responsibility of the freight carrier.

Tank Supply Direct is not liable for damage caused during transit, but we will assist in filing claims on your behalf.

  • Damage (visible or concealed) must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
  • All packaging materials must be retained for inspection

Shipping Costs & Returns

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, including refused or undeliverable shipments

Orders that are refused at delivery or cannot be delivered may be subject to:

  • Round-trip freight charges
  • A 30% restocking fee
