Warranty & Claims

Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

Products sold by Tank Supply Direct are covered, when applicable, by the warranty provided by the product’s manufacturer. Coverage periods, eligibility requirements, exclusions and available remedies vary by manufacturer and product.

The summaries below are provided for reference. The complete manufacturer warranty applicable to your specific product and purchase controls the claim. A listed warranty period does not mean every component or cause of damage is covered.

Tank Supply Direct’s Role

Tank Supply Direct assists customers in documenting and submitting warranty concerns to the applicable manufacturer.

We act as a liaison during the claim process. Warranty approval, denial, repair, replacement and other remedies are determined under the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Submitting a claim does not guarantee approval, a refund or a replacement.

How to Start a Warranty Claim

Email info@tanksupplydirect.com with:

  • Your Tank Supply Direct order number.
  • Your name and contact information.
  • The manufacturer and product or part number.
  • The product’s serial number, if available.
  • A detailed description of the issue and when it was discovered.
  • Clear photographs of the entire product and affected area.
  • Photographs of product labels and installation, when applicable.

Depending on the issue, additional information may be required, including video, proof of purchase, installation date, application details, chemical or fluid compatibility, and photographs of fittings, mounting points, straps, plumbing or surrounding equipment.

Retain the product and supporting documentation until the manufacturer’s review is complete. Retain packaging when relevant to the claim.

Registration & Product Requirements

Some manufacturers require registration, a returned warranty card, initial inspection or testing within a specified period.

Customers should review the documentation provided with their product promptly after purchase. Submitting a claim to Tank Supply Direct does not replace a manufacturer’s registration requirement.

Proper installation, support, handling, maintenance and use remain subject to the applicable manufacturer’s instructions.

Other Manufacturers & Products

If your manufacturer or product is not listed above, contact info@tanksupplydirect.com with the manufacturer, product number and order number.

The absence of a manufacturer from this summary does not indicate that the product has no warranty. We will assist in identifying the applicable warranty information.

Manufacturer Review & Possible Resolutions

The manufacturer may request additional information, inspect the product or require other reasonable verification steps before deciding a claim.

An approved claim may result in repair, replacement of a product or component, credit, reimbursement or another remedy permitted by the manufacturer’s warranty.

The available remedy and timing depend on the manufacturer, product and claim circumstances. Tank Supply Direct will communicate updates as they are received.

Warranty Freight & Related Costs

Responsibility for inspection freight, return freight, replacement freight, labor, removal, reinstallation and other costs varies by manufacturer and claim.

Some manufacturers require customers to prepay transportation costs. Reimbursement, if available, depends on the applicable warranty and claim determination.

Do not ship a product back or arrange repairs expecting reimbursement without the required authorization and instructions.

Freight Damage & Missing Items

Damage caused during transportation is handled through the freight-damage process in our Shipping, Delivery, Returns & Cancellations policy and is separate from a manufacturing-defect warranty claim.

Visible freight damage: Inspect freight shipments before signing the delivery receipt. Clearly document visible damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt or Bill of Lading before signing, take photographs and retain relevant packaging. If the product is punctured, severely damaged or otherwise unusable, document the condition and refuse the shipment.

Concealed damage: Report damage that could not reasonably be identified during delivery inspection to info@tanksupplydirect.com as soon as it is discovered. Include the order number and photographs of the product and packaging, and retain all packaging materials. Applicable carrier claim rules, documentation requirements and product-specific reporting deadlines apply. For PolyJohn holding tanks, concealed damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery. This does not extend any shorter applicable carrier deadline.

Missing items or parts: Report missing items, lids, fittings, hardware, pumps, accessories or other components to info@tanksupplydirect.com within 3 business days of delivery. Inspect all cartons, packaging and included components promptly, even if installation will take place later.

Returns & Exchanges

A request to return or exchange an otherwise acceptable product is governed by our Shipping, Delivery, Returns & Cancellations policy.

A warranty claim does not automatically create return eligibility or waive return authorization requirements.

Conditions That May Be Excluded

Depending on the manufacturer and product, warranty coverage may exclude:

  • Misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Improper installation or inadequate support.
  • Unauthorized alterations, modifications or repairs.
  • Incompatible chemicals, fuels or service conditions.
  • Impact, accident or transportation damage.
  • Improper handling or storage.
  • Failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Consequential losses or related expenses.

The applicable manufacturer’s warranty determines the exclusions and final claim eligibility.
