80 Gallon Water/Holding Tank - 2080-1

Description

The Trionic 80 Gallon Water/Holding Tank (mold 2080-1) is a rotationally molded, seamless, one-piece, non-corrosive tank for potable water, freshwater and wastewater (grey water and black water). It measures 61″ L x 19″ W x 16″ H and has a 3/8″ average wall thickness.

It comes in two versions. B-2080-1 is a blank tank with no fittings, so you can place fittings exactly where your installation needs them; Trionic’s CF-60 Custom Fitting Location Kit makes that quick and easy. WH-2080-1 comes with (2) 1-1/2″ FPT and (2) 1/2″ FPT threaded openings (female National Pipe Thread), all located on one end of the tank. Unused openings can be capped.

Trionic water and holding tanks fully comply with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1520 and meet U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between B-2080-1 and WH-2080-1?
B-2080-1 is a blank tank with no openings, so you choose where the fittings go. WH-2080-1 comes with (2) 1-1/2″ FPT and (2) 1/2″ FPT threaded openings on one end of the tank. Both are the same 80 gallon, 61″ L x 19″ W x 16″ H tank.

What is the tank made of?
Rotationally molded linear low-density polyethylene. Trionic says metal fittings are not compatible with its polyethylene tanks, and using them voids the Trionic warranty.

How close to the bottom can I add a fitting to a blank tank?
Trionic recommends drilling a 1/2″ fitting no closer than 3/4″ from the bottom of the tank and a 1-1/2″ fitting no closer than 1-1/8″, and leaving at least 1/2″ of clearance on the sides and top. Trionic does not recommend fittings on the very bottom of the tank.

How should the tank be installed?
The bottom of the tank should be fully supported. Trionic also says to use a 12″ minimum length of flexible hose to hose barb fittings.

Should I use sealant or Teflon tape on the hose adapters?
Trionic recommends 3M 4200 or 5200 on the threads of straight fittings, and Teflon tape on 90-degree fittings so the fitting can be oriented. Hand tighten first, then use a wrench, and do not overtighten.

Can Trionic put the fittings in custom locations?
Yes, on orders of five or more of the same tank, at an extra charge. Contact Tank Supply Direct for a quote.

How long does it take to ship?
The manufacturer lead time is 1-2 weeks, and it ships from Wisconsin. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

Trionic Corp warrants its products to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for one year after the date of purchase. Trionic will replace, or at its option repair, product returned transportation prepaid that it determines on inspection to be defective. The warranty is void if the product has been altered, abused, neglected, improperly installed or damaged in transit, and Trionic states that using metal fittings on its polyethylene tanks voids the warranty.
