Description

The Rockwell Exodus 35 is a compact, shock-resistant 35 gallon water tank sized for vehicles and tight spaces. At 20″ x 29.5″ x 18.25″ tall and about 20 lb empty, it fits in truck beds, on ATVs and utility vehicles, in RVs and in home storage areas, and two can be stacked.

It is rotationally molded in the USA from UV22-resistant HDPE that is BPA free, phthalate free and NSF/ANSI/FDA compliant. A lead-free brass quick-turn valve, drain plug, hose holder, molded handles and 2″ strapping guides across the sides and top make it easy to fill, carry and tie down. The package includes a 55 gallon water preserver.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mount it on an ATV or vehicle?
Yes, Rockwell designs the Exodus 35 for vehicle use, with strapping guides on the sides and top. Rockwell warns that a full tank raises the center of gravity and makes the vehicle less stable: the driver must be 16 or older, do not exceed 5 mph with the tank on an ATV, never ride on the tank, tighten the lid before driving, and a vehicle with roll-over protection is recommended on uneven ground.

How do I stack two tanks?
Stack no more than two Exodus 35 tanks and never put another tank on top. Do not fill the top tank while the bottom tank is empty; drain the top tank first.

Will it leak while driving?
Rockwell notes that small amounts of water may leak from the lid on rough terrain. Tighten the lid before driving.

Where should I put the tank?
Rockwell recommends a level spot free of sharp objects that can carry the full tank weight, ideally a basement or garage, with about 2″ of clearance on all sides and out of direct sunlight. Rockwell suggests placing a Rockwell leach barrier under the tank for cleanliness and protection.

Can it be stored outdoors?
Rockwell says outdoor storage is possible but not ideal. If stored outside, rotate the water about every 6 months and filter or test it before use. Rockwell's warranty does not cover damage caused by weather, the sun or freezing.

What about freezing temperatures?
Rockwell advises draining roughly 10 to 12 percent of the water to leave room for expansion if the tank may freeze. Freeze damage is not covered by the warranty.

Do I need to install any fittings?
No. Rockwell tanks ship with their fittings fully installed. Remove the items packed on or under the lid and rinse the tank with potable water before filling.

How do I keep the water fresh?
Fill only with potable drinking water using a drinking-water-safe hose, apply Rockwell's rotation schedule, and rotate the water on that schedule. A water treatment is included in the package (see What's Included).

Is it normal for the tank sides to flex?
Yes. Rockwell notes that some inward flex when empty and outward flex when full is normal, and that dimensions can vary slightly by tank color.

How is it shipped and how long does it take?
The Exodus 35 ships from Utah by Parcel (UPS or FedEx). The manufacture lead time is 3-5 days. Rockwell asks that you inspect the tank on delivery and refuse or note any visible shipping damage.

What warranty does it have?

Rockwell's responsibility is limited to repair, replacement or refund. Leaks or defects caused by accessories such as faucets and bulkheads are handled by Rockwell sending a replacement accessory with instructions; missing or damaged accessories must be reported within 30 days of purchase.
