Description

The Texas Precast 17" Flat Sample Well Lid and its matching ring is a painted cast iron cover for a precast concrete sample well. The lid is 17" in diameter, cast from gray iron conforming to ASTM A48 Class 30B, and weighs 50 lbs. The top face carries a pointed diamond chequer tread pattern and the words "SAMPLE WELL" cast in 2" letters, so the structure is identifiable to an inspector at a glance. The underside carries the casting mark LC 216SW together with the heat number and date. Supplied as a ring and cover assembly weighing 79 lbs.
