Description

The Texas Precast 1000 Gallon Concrete Trash Tank is a below-ground precast concrete trash tank cast in Santa Fe, Texas. It holds approximately 1,023 gallons, is poured from 6,000 PSI concrete with 2½" walls, and is supplied with a separate 4" lid. Inlet and outlet penetrations are 4" Sch 40 PVC with watertight rubber seals meeting ASTM C923. The lid carries two 18" square riser openings and two inspection plugs.

Installation Notes From the Manufacturer

• Installation by contractor per code, with a minimum of 12" on all sides of the unit. The depth of base and material must meet the specifications and requirements for the type of soil at the setting location. Leveling the material prevents the tank from cracking after filling with water.
• Back fill before filling with water. This must be done on all sides by lowering sand. Do not push from sides.
• Buoyancy: 18" of water must remain in the tank when soil is placed on top of the tank.
