Description

The Texas Precast 1000 Gallon Concrete Pump Tank is a below-ground precast concrete pump tank cast in Santa Fe, Texas. It holds approximately 1,122 gallons, is poured from 6,000 PSI concrete with 2½" walls, and is supplied with a separate 4" lid. Inlet and outlet penetrations are 4" Sch 40 PVC with watertight rubber seals meeting ASTM C923. The lid carries one 18" square access opening and one Ø20" round riser opening.

Installation Notes From the Manufacturer

• Installation by contractor per code, with a minimum of 12" on all sides of the unit. The depth of base and material must meet the specifications and requirements for the type of soil at the setting location. Leveling the material prevents the tank from cracking after filling with water.
• Back fill before filling with water. This must be done on all sides by lowering sand. Do not push from sides.
• Buoyancy: 18" of water must remain in the tank when soil is placed on top of the tank.
