Texas Precast Concrete Sample Well Assembly with Cast Iron Ring and Cover

Description

The Texas Precast Sample Well Assembly is a complete precast concrete sampling well for wastewater discharge monitoring, supplied as a base, a reinforced concrete riser pipe and a cast iron ring and cover. The riser is 15" inside diameter with a 19 1/2" outside diameter, supplied in a 4' length and field cut to the depth required. The base is 31" square with a Schedule 40 pipe sleeve cast in place, available in 4" standard or 6". Concrete is poured at a minimum 6,000 PSI at 28 days and reinforced to ASTM A615 Grade 60.

Installation Requirements

• Sample well must be installed under a plumbing permit
• Use 15" T&G R.C.P. for installation 6'-0" deep and less
• Use 24" T&G R.C.P. for installation greater than 6'-0" deep (standard ring and manhole cover required)
• Set the sampling well in a circular or square concrete pad 1'-0" greater than the outside diameter of the pipe
• Inside installation is not permitted
• Lawn installation must be 4" above finished grade
• Drive and sidewalk installation must be brought to finished grade
• To be installed on private property, in a location accessible to city personnel
