Description

The NOMAD Trans-Flo Gold NTG50 (model 50-2691) is a 2" (51 mm) aluminum, PTFE-fitted air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump that moves up to 141 gpm (534 lpm), runs on up to 125 psig (8.6 bar) of compressed air and passes solids up to 1/4" (6.4 mm). This clamped, NPT-ported standard build is a Trans-Flo Gold pump built for rugged outdoor duty and lower-quality air.

Aluminum wetted parts give a lightweight, durable metallic pump that is commonly chosen for oils, fuels, lubricants, paints and many water-based fluids; aluminum is generally not used for strong acids or caustics. PTFE has the broadest chemical resistance of the standard diaphragm materials and is the usual choice for aggressive chemicals and solvents; on this build the PTFE diaphragm is backed by a Neoprene diaphragm. Always confirm chemical compatibility with your fluid before ordering - Tank Supply Direct can check it for you.

Key Features
  • Anodized aluminum piston-style air valve system
  • Built for mining, construction, marine and utility work
  • Tolerates lower-quality, unfiltered plant or compressor air
  • Aluminum wetted parts, PTFE diaphragms - standard NOMAD build 50-2691
  • Clamped construction - quick teardown for diaphragm and check-valve service
  • ATEX-designated build (model suffix X) for potentially explosive atmospheres
  • Air-operated, no electric motor - flow adjusts with the air supply; no motor or controls at the pump
  • Self-priming - suction lift 12' dry / 31' wet

Applications

NOMAD lists these industries for this pump: Automotive, Ceramics, Chemical, electronics/semiconductor, Food/Beverage, Mining/Construction, Petroleum, Pharmaceutical, Wastewater.

Pwr-Flo or Trans-Flo? NOMAD positions Trans-Flo for rugged outdoor work such as mining, marine and construction. It tolerates lower-quality, unfiltered compressed air and is the simpler series to maintain in the field.

Common Questions

How many gallons per minute does the NOMAD NTG50 pump?
The NOMAD NTG50 is rated up to 141 gpm (534 lpm) at a maximum 125 psig (8.6 bar) air supply. Actual flow drops with discharge pressure, suction lift and fluid viscosity - use the NOMAD performance curve in the product images to size it for your duty point.

What does "PTFE-fitted" mean, and when should I choose a different material?
The diaphragms and check balls are PTFE. PTFE has the broadest chemical resistance of the standard diaphragm materials and is the usual choice for aggressive chemicals and solvents; on this build the PTFE diaphragm is backed by a Neoprene diaphragm.

What air supply does it need?
Connect clean, dry compressed air to the 3/4" (19 mm) air inlet; do not exceed 125 psig (8.6 bar). Flow and discharge pressure rise and fall with the air pressure you supply.

Is this pump available in other configurations?
Yes. NOMAD also builds this model with other wetted materials (Stainless Steel); port connections (BSP, Tri-Clamp). This listing is the standard build; call or email Tank Supply Direct for a quote on any other configuration.

How fast does it ship?
The standard build ships from Nevada in approximately 4 days. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
