Description

The ATTA AT50W is a 50 gallon standard wedge aluminum auxiliary diesel tank, the smallest of ATTA's wedge tanks. The wedge shape gives a more custom look than a rectangular tank, and the 14″ wide base uses less bed space.

Like every ATTA tank, the AT50W is built in Fort Worth, Texas from .125 gauge (1/8″) aluminum, is fully baffled to control fuel slosh, and mounts with heavy-duty 3/16″ (2″ x 6″) aluminum hold-down tabs. It comes standard with an OEM-style locking pressure-relief fuel cap. It is for diesel fuel only and is designed to be used with ATTA's Freedom Fill or Push'N'Fuel auxiliary fuel system.

Will it fit my truck?
ATTA lists the AT50W for: Short and long bed Ford, Dodge/Ram and GM full-size diesel trucks. ATTA describes a long bed as about 8 ft and a short bed as about 6.5 ft.

How much room does it take with the fittings?
ATTA lists the AT50W at 18″ tall x 14″ wide x 60″ long. ATTA notes the fill neck, cap and sending unit cover add about 2.5″ to the height and the hold-down tabs (or lock bar) add 1.5″ at the front and rear.

Can I use it for gasoline?
No. ATTA auxiliary fuel tanks and fuel systems are for diesel fuel only, due to DOT and EPA regulations. For gasoline, ATTA makes separate DOT legal transfer tanks.

Does it come with a fuel system?
The tank is designed to work with ATTA's Freedom Fill Auxiliary System or Push'N'Fuel Auxiliary System, which are separate ATTA part numbers. ATTA requires the tank model and serial number when the system is ordered. Contact Tank Supply Direct to add the right system for your truck.

How hard is it to install?
ATTA says anyone with basic mechanical skills can install its auxiliary system, and the installation kit includes the components needed to mount the tank. The front (cab-side) hold-down tabs slide under a lock bar and the rear tabs bolt through. ATTA recommends an isolator mat, spray-in or drop-in bedliner, or rubber mud flaps between the bed and the tank. ATTA also installs at its Fort Worth, Texas plant by appointment and has an installing dealer network.

Will it void my truck warranty?
ATTA states that installing the auxiliary diesel tank per its instructions, with the components from the installation kit, will not void your factory warranty.

How is it built and tested?
Every ATTA aluminum tank is hydrostatically tested: pressurized up to 10 psi and submerged in water to check for leaks. The tank is fully baffled, and baffles also add strength.

ATTA fuel system components carry the same 7 year / unlimited mile limited warranty, except the inline fuel pump and sending unit resistor, which carry a 1 year limited warranty; other ATTA manufactured products carry a 1 year limited warranty. The completed ATTA warranty card must be returned to ATTA within 30 days of purchase by the original purchaser, or the 7 year warranty is not valid. The warranty applies only to the vehicle listed on the warranty card and is valid only in the United States and Canada. ATTA excludes damage from misuse or negligence, improper installation, shipping or improper handling, ordering the incorrect product, contaminated fuel or improper fuel additives, and road debris, and the warranty is void if the product is altered or the ATTA manufacturing tag is removed or defaced.
